A Fellow of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (FMII), Razak has 40 years working experience in risk management, insurance and the financial services sector. From 2012 until end of 2013, Razak served as the Principal Officer of Virginia Surety Company, Labuan. Between 2008 to end 2011, he held several key senior positions simultaneously leading, developing & implementing risk management and insurance initiatives for all key companies of the GroupMed, Hariri and Oger Groups in the UAE, Lebanon, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
Razak was Chief Executive Officer at Marsh Insurance Broker and was with the Marsh & McLennan group for 21 years, including working assignments in London. His business experience transcends a cross section of industry from financial services, mega infrastructure projects, ports, energy, manufacturing, power & utilities, and telecommunications.

A Fellow of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (FMII) and Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII), Zainal has more than 40 years of working experience in general insurance, reinsurance /retakaful and risk management.
He was the CEO of Etiqa Insurance Berhad from 2003 until 2008 he was appointed as CEO/Director of ACR Retakaful (SEA) Bhd until 2011. A well known and active personality in the insurance fraternity, Zainal was Chairman of PIAM in 2007. Currently he is the Deputy Chairman of Malaysian Insurance and Takaful Brokers Association (MITBA) and sits on the Board of Malaysian Insurance Institute chairing its Academic Council.
Started career in 1989 in the insurance industry with Malaysian National Reinsurance Berhad and followed by American International Assurance Co. Ltd (AIA) in 1990. Joined the capital market with the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) Group in 1991 and was employed in various senior financial and operational roles with various subsidiaries of the group. Left Bursa Malaysia in 2005, with the last position of Head of Exchanges.
After leaving the Exchange, he was involved in Business Process Outsourcing, investment banking, a company providing VSAT services to the oil and gas industry, and a Venture Capital Management Company. His last professional position was the Managing Director and Group CEO of Pradotec Global Sdn Bhd, a company involved in Trusted Identification. He currently sits on 2 companies listed on Bursa Malaysia, Advancecon Holdings Berhad and N2N Connect Berhad. He is also an independent consultant for Esperanza Management Advisors Sdn Bhd, a risk management consulting group.
Hashim has an illustrious career with exceeding 35 years of working experience at senior levels including more than 15 years in the general insurance and reinsurance industries. He started his career at Credit Corporation (M) Berhad, a finance company, in 1977. He served in various senior capacities within the DRB Hicom Group. He was appointed as CEO Uni Asia General Insce Bhd in 1999. He served Malaysian Re as its CEO in 2008 until his retirement in 2015.
He held the position of Chairman of Central Administration Bureau (CAB) from 2003 to 2005. A Director of Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad from 2005 to 2007 and he served as the Chairman of Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) from 2009 to 2012 and chairman of Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) from 2009 to 2017. He was also a director of Asian Institute of Finance (AIF) from 2012 to 2017 and non-executive director at Pacific Insurance Bhd from 2015.
He graduated with a Law Degree from University of Tasmania, Australia. He is a co-founder and Senior Partner of David Gurupatham & Koay Advocates & Solicitors. He is admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in the High Court of Malaya and has to two decades of experience under his belt. Koay has vast experience in offering advice and providing legal assistance in the specialized field of mining and has extensive knowledge in matters pertaining to banking and real estate laws. Koay is involved in corporate advisory works for institutions, both locally and abroad.
Zainal Abidin M Noor

Senior Vice President, Head of Broking
Sazali, an Associate of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (AMII) has 31 years of Insurance broking experience local and internationally. Started his career with Jardine Insurance Brokers (JLT), he subsequently gained his experience in marketing, underwriting and claims management with local insurance company and few other broking firms. His last position prior to joining Sentinel is as a General Manager in Willis Malaysia (WTW). He has wide experience in managing large multi-national and commercial portfolios such as TNB CBPS, BASF Petronas, Jardine Group, Sapura Group, Standard Chartered Bank. He is also involved in servicing aviation account such as Malaysian Airlines Group, Jet Premier One, Avcen Limited and Awan Inspirasi. In the international scene, Sazali placed and managed many projects in Vietnam, Sri Lanka & Pakistan.
Vice President, Broking Operation
Rasidi has more than 29 years of working experience, with multi-industry background in IT, banking and insurance/takaful. He was Head of Insurance Department in Bank Bumiputera Malaysia Berhad for 18 years before joining Sentinel Insurance Brokers in 2010. Received his insurance qualification from London School of Insurance. Rasidi’s being handling AlloyMtd Group’s insurance requirement an engineering-based company which involved local and international businesses. Among other, Rasidi managing the insurances for Anih Bhd the highway concessioner for Karak -Kuala Lumpur Highway and Lebuhraya Pantai Timur 1. As a Group business, Rasidi also overseeing the insurance requirement of E-Idaman Sdn Bhd for the operational and contract works insurances. He also involved in insurance placement of Security Services company, banking and construction.
Eddy Salman Abdul Rahaman
Senior Manager, Business Development
Eddy has over 24 years of insurance and takaful experience. He started his career as a Loss Adjuster in a reputable firm covering Marine, Motor and Non-Motor cases. He later moved on to join Transnational Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd where he was responsible for servicing major accounts such as Syarikat Air Johor, Maju Holdings Berhad, Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad and SapuraCrest Petroleum. This led to his recruitment by Willis Malaysia in 2012, responsible for business development and servicing major accounts. He joined Sentinel in 2016.
Senior Manager, Employee Benefits & Affinity
Suriyani has over 17 years of insurance and takaful experience. She started her career in Kuantan Medical Center and she later moved on to join Hong Leong Insurance Berhad in 2004 handling claims administration and servicing for A&H (Group Hospital & Surgical) Department. This led to her recruitment by Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad as Assistant Manager. In 2017, she joined Syarikat Takaful Malaysia, as Business Manager, Employee Benefits for East Coast Region responsible for business development and servicing major accounts. She was in Great Eastern Takaful Berhad as Manager, Corporate Takaful Business since 2020 before joining Sentinel Insurance Brokers.

Vemala has deep passionate towards accounting and financial management. She has over 28 years of experience in handling various type of account, auditing, and financial management from small company to big corporate. Vemala’s ability to identify complexities in resolving accounting issues is an added advantage and an asset to company. She was Accounts & Finance Manager at a reputable public listed company before she joins the Sentinel Insurance Brokers.
